Russian gas storage facilities have already accumulated 81% of the target level of reserves by the upcoming winter period, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
„We have no problems with the accumulation of all types of fuel: reserve, main, emergency. We will not have problems with gas injection into underground storage facilities. Today, the injection level is 81 percent of the target level, which we must reach in November,” he said. .
As reported, by the 2022/2023 heating season in Russia, Gazprom plans to create an operational gas reserve in the amount of 72.662 billion cubic meters. m; the maximum daily storage capacity should reach a new maximum – 852.4 million cubic meters. m per day.
Shulginov added that gas production in Russia for 6 months of 2022 decreased: „For gas, for well-known reasons, it is minus 5 percent so far.”
